This is at the Airport in Santa Maria. About 5 years back, this airshow featured the Canadian Snowbirds. The show started, then was promptly cancelled due to marine layer moving in off the ocean. Everyone left at once. It was atraffic nightmare, and a waste of money. The P-40 is a fine looking plane.

Love that sound, I grew up near Saufley Field naval Air Station. There was a mix of T34 and T28s in the touch and go pattern. Always got excited when a T28 flew over my home!!!!

Wow, this was a brilliant display that shows what the One Design is capable of. The roll rate and snapability is certainly there and it hangs on the prop nicely. It looks like a Pitts biplane with the top wing missing but this display shows that there is some hidden moxie in the machine.

This plane is extremely noisy. It strongly impacts the hovered territories, 10 km around. It is a scourge for populations. Have a look to Google comments about base 709 in Cognac, and you will be edified.

Was with 76 Squadron for 9 years and knew all the aerobatic pilots in the Fighter Force Element Group. This pilot is as good a Haikey and out of the 100,000 sorted returns and the 1000 Aeros displays I've seen, Haikey was the very best.

I know the f35 is the latest and greatest, its very loud and can do some cool things but i think the hornet still did a better display. The f35 looks a bit more lazy. the hornet was like a sports car. Looked like it was lighter on its feet so to speak. I miss it a lot.
